Just globbing, whatever you use, on the front sight gets messy really fast. Takes a little screwing around but easier to let the foil hold the sight up than trying to figure out some other way. so that the aluminum foil holds the sight up from the bottom of the form, for whatever depth I want relative to the increase in height. I then then put the front sight in it, top down and kinda mold the "form" around it etc. I make a small "form" for lack of a better word, out of aluminum foil, just slightly wider, then I want the sight to be and deeper, usually a pretty fair amount cause you can file of but adding on is a pain. When I need to increase the height of a front sight I use a good quality epoxy and do the following. When it is applied thinly it seems for me to simply come off, almost with a finger nail scratch. I have not had a lot of luck with JB weld as a glue.
